Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented individual who can support our Mission and Purpose of being a self- sustaining, profitable communications company which positively impacts the lives of others today and in the future.
This job requires connecting with people quickly in an
outgoing, friendly manner. An extreme sense of urgency is needed,
combined with getting work done in complete, accurate detail and in
accordance with company standards and policies. The motivation for
this position comes from a strong sense of duty and a feeling of
responsibility for completing work both quickly and correctly. The
scope of work is to assist the manager with the planning,
development, implementation and administration of some or all of
the following: employment, compensation, benefits, employee
relations, EEO/AAP, organizational development/training, HRlS entry
and health and safety services programs.
The candidate will be responsible for conducting new hire
orientations, ensuring completion of necessary trainings,
maintaining the HRIS systems. Compile and prepare EEO & AAP
Plan documents, and administration of employee leaves of absence.
Assist with the administration and communication of the company's
benefits program plan options, features and enrollment
requirements, and assist employees with benefit claim
administration inquiries. The candidate will assist with
administration of the Company’s workers compensation and safety
program, and with administration and communication of training and
development, including course material, lessons plans and
documentation needed for training. Will provide guidance and
training to manager and employees on employee relations issues, and
will perform other duties as assigned.
Requires 4-6 years of applied related knowledge and experience in a wide-range of HR Activities.
HR Certificate, and Bilingual a plus Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways. Independent decision maker, but will utilize team consensus or collaboration when appropriate. Requires the ability to learn quickly, work at a faster than average pace, be thorough, and detail oriented.

Job Summary:
- Develop and maintain the Human Resources Dept.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state labor and regulatory laws including employee classification, EEO, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, I/9 Compliance, and Personnel files
- Write, implement and revise policies, procedures, employee handbook and job descriptions
- Recruitment sourcing for technical, management, sales and administrative positions
- HRIS; New employee orientation; Coordination of benefits with Paychex
- Employee relations and counselling/coaching
- Provides input to management on workforce planning
- Special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Sociology or related field. PHR/SPHR and/or HR Management Certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ of progressively responsible experience as a Human Resources Generalist or Manager for a mid-size company (51+ employees). May substitute equivalent experience for education and certification. Requires solid, broad-based HR experience in multiple HR functions with an emphasis on employee relations, organizational development and recruitment. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively at all levels; and have the ability to initiate, plan and manage multiple projects and work with minimal supervision and guidance.

Human Resources Manager
The La Jolla Playhouse is actively searching for a qualified human resources business professional to add to their staff in the newly created position of Human Resources Manager. The Playhouse is a not-for-profit, professional theatre in residence on the magnificent campus of the University of California, San Diego.
This position will manage human resources activities for a workforce of 100 plus a fluctuating artistic production workforce. This job will fulfill an operational and employee advocate role in keeping with the strategy that has been developed by management and serve as employee “champion.” EEO, staffing, benefits, workers compensation, and employee relations encompass the human resource management responsibilities and services that this position will deliver. We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus at least 5 years experience. Applicable work experience in a non-profit, life science or technology environment is desirable. We are seeking a Recruitment Manager/Senior Recruiter to
be responsible for developing and driving people and performance
strategies, policies, processes and activities. Incumbent
must be willing to participate as senior recruiter, and
also have capabilities as an HR generalist and/or manager.
• Hands-on management of full life cycle of recruitment
including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checking
and on-boarding a diverse and qualified applicant pool for
all levels of placement.
• Interact with and advise management team in areas including
but not limited to recruitment and staffing strategies,
employee development, performance management, learning and
development, employee relations, company policies and procedures,
compensation, etc.
• Counsel and coach employees in areas of interviewing skills,
career development, job performance, and conflict resolution.
• Provide input to the departmental recruiting budget, ensuring
